The pilot started June 19 at the Trusted Traveller CATSA/Nexus Security Line at the Calgary International Airport (Concourse "A"). "CATSA is always looking at ways to improve the passenger experience while maintaining the highest level of security," said Yves Duguay, CATSA's Senior Vice-President, Operations and Customer Experience. "This pilot project could lead to shorter wait times and enhanced convenience for air travellers." Preparation in advance of screening promotes lower wait time, faster screening and increased passenger satisfaction. Allowing passengers to leave their laptops in carry-on bags has the potential to achieve improvements in all of these areas.
