SpacePort's School Programs
SpacePort has quickly become one of Calgary’s premier sites for school and
community groups. We have developed entertaining and educational programs that have
garnered rave reviews from teachers and group leaders alike. Developed in collaboration
with Science Alberta Foundation and Vancouver’s MacMillan Space Centre, our
educational programs are closely tied to the Alberta curriculum and engage students
through active participation and hands-on fun.
We offer programs in stageshow and workshop formats, allowing you to mix and combine
programs to match your needs. Our Educational Program Director will help tailor
the program for your class.
All programs include a simulator ride for each student; students will also have time
to explore our exhibits and displays.
SpacePort is on the CBE's approved "A" list for field trip sites, considerably reducing
the paperwork necessary to bring your class. We are committed to providing a safe,
engaging, spectacular, relevant and curricular program for your class to visit.
We are equally committed to maintaining the excellence of field trips provincially
through our work as part of SERG (Society of Educational Resource Groups).

Lunchtime
SpacePort’s location beside the Airport Food Court makes lunchtime easy. Even
if kids have brought their own lunches from home (as is usually the case), your
class is welcome to eat at the Destinations Food Court tables, located right outside
the SpacePort facility.
